Is there any latest update for the Australian PR point requirement in 2019?

Australia PR point requirement 2019 will remain the same for general skilled migration programs namely Australia Skilled Independent Visa Subclass 189, Australia Skilled Nominated Visa 190 and Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Visa Subclass 489. This means foreign workers who want to apply for permanent residency programs must score minimum passing 65 immigration points out of 100 on Australia point assessment grid. The points are calculated for age, educational qualification, work experience, language ability, and adaptability factors.
Points can be checked using the Australian Immigration Points Calculator
Australia PR Point Calculator

However, with the onset of new skilled regional provisional subclass 491, the Australian The immigration department has introduced an additional point category under Australia PR point system. This visa 491 will be introduced in November 2019 to attract foreign skilled workers into the regional areas of the country. The updates in Australia PR point requirement 2019 are:
·        10 points will be awarded if you are single
·        10 points if you have a partner who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident
·        10 points if your partner has an acceptable skill and competent English
·        05 points will be awarded if your partner has competent English
Thus, as of now only, this is the latest Australia Immigration point update. Rest, everything is same for point-based assessment.
Also, the candidates with the highest immigration points are invited to apply for Australia Permanent Resident Visa through regular EOI SkillSelect draws. As per the latest Australia EOI draws, the candidate with 85 immigration points and above are invited to apply.
For further information related to Australia Immigration Point System and other essential eligibility conditions, it is suggested to connect with visa and immigration experts of Aptech Global. One of the experts will contact you to discuss the PR query.

Tougher character requirements for Australian Immigration

The Australian Immigration department could have their visa cancelled under proposed laws to tighten the character test. In the proposed changes, the visa-holders who have committed a crime that carries a maximum sentence of at least two years such as common assault, will automatically fail the character test, even if they are not sentence to jail. This legislation was introduced last month by the Immigration Minister David Coleman last month. The other test which was changed in 2014 to allow the government to deport non-citizens sentenced to at least 12 months jail for their crime. This has resulted in more than 1,000 kiwis being sent back between 2016 and 2018.
Adding to concerns about the proposed changes is that they will apply retrospectively meaning anyone who has committed a crime covered by the laws in the past could be deported on character grounds.

Australia releases Occupational Ceilings for 2019-2020 skilled migration programs

The Australian Immigration department released occupation ceilings for the year 2019-20 skilled migration programs. Applicants applying through skilled migration programs check their occupation listed on Skilled Occupation List (SOL). This list currently has more than 200 occupations listed and is updated regularly by the Department of Home Affairs (DoHA).
Occupational Ceiling is defined as the limit to the number of ‘Expression of Interest’ (EOI) or invites issued from an occupation group. The ceiling determines that the skilled migration program is not dominated by small number of occupations.
SOL list Australia

When the occupation reaches its ceiling limit then no particular invitations are issued for that particular occupation and program for the year. Invitations are then allocated to the migrants in other occupation groups even they have less ranking score.
The occupational ceiling plays an important role in providing the applicants an insight about the most in-demand occupations. There are some occupations which have higher ceiling while others have low occupational ceiling.

Australia 189 Visa Invitation Estimate June 2019

Aptech Global is again back with its Australia SkillSelect June 2019 invitation round prediction for Australia Skilled Independent Visa Subclass 189. This visa is a point based permanent residency visa that allows skilled and qualified workers to come and settle anywhere in the country on permanent basis.
Visa 189 processing time and number of invitations depends upon when the Expression of Interest (EOI) was lodged and the number of available places in the visa category.
The Aptech Global estimates are not anywhere related with Department of Home Affairs. We our only analyzing the situation keeping in minds the current scenario of visa 189invitations. If there is any change in the immigration policies, Aptech will also mold them accordingly.
We are assuming as it is the last immigration month of the year, the Department of Home Affairs will invite 100 invites once again for the EOI Australia SkillSelect 189 visa and 10 invites for the visa 489 visa.
