What it does
You must submit an application for a temporary or permanent visa, which you can do by filling out the form and submitting it to the appropriate organizations so it can be put through an evaluation. The temporary Partner Visa may be issued to you immediately if the examination reveals that you do match the requirements for this Australian visa. This visa is good for a period of time until you receive a permanent visa, which is typically granted a few years after the application is submitted. The permanent Partner Visa is yours if, after two years, all requirements are still satisfied.
If you can provide evidence that you and your partner have been married or in a committed relationship for at least three years and maybe longer, you may be eligible for a permanent visa with the exception of the required waiting period.
If you and your partner have been dating or married for more than two years and have a kid (dependent) together, you may be eligible for the permanent visa right away. The two-year waiting period is waived if your partner was granted a protection visa or a permanent visa through Australia's humanitarian program.

Partner Visa: What is it?
De facto visas, sometimes known as partner visas, are frequently granted to eligible New Zealand citizens living in Australia as well as to the partners and wives of permanent Australian citizens and residents. Both same-sex and heterosexual relationships can easily apply for a partner visa.
In Australia, acquiring a partner visa involves two steps. First, the applicant is granted a provisional partner visa, which is classified as a Subclass 820 for onshore applicants and a Subclass 309 for offshore applicants. After being granted a provisional partner visa, the applicant was required to remain in the nation for a specific amount of time. Couples are once more evaluated to see if they match the requirements for a permanent partner visa, which is further divided into two categories: subclass 820 visa holders receive a subclass 801 visa, while subclass 309 visa holders receive a subclass 100 visa.
Different Partner Visa Types
Australian immigration law offers a number of partner and spouse visa types that applicants can apply for based on their needs and the requirements they must meet in order to be granted one. The three partner visa alternatives that are available, in case someone is willing to sponsor a partner to move to Australia, are as follows:
