Australian immigration points calculator is the systematic way of deciding whether you are eligible to apply for Australia PR Visa or not. The immigration point system is the basic eligibility criteria which you need to meet to apply for PR.

1.      1.  Age Points

You must be below 45 years of age for applying Australia PR

33 to 39	25 points
40 to 44	15 points

2. English Language Proficiency MarksEnglish is the acceptable language while applying for Australia permanent residency visa where you can go with IELTS or PTE to check the English eligibility.

Superior English- IELTS 8/PTE 79 or more	20 points
Proficient English- IELTS 7/PTE 65 or more	10 points
Competent English- IELTS 6 or more	0 points

3. Work Experience in Australia -  You must have atleast 2 years of work experience for applying Australia PR.

At least eight and up to 10 years (of past 10 years)	20 points
At least five but less than eight years (of past 10 years)	15 points
At least three but less than five years (of past 10 years)	10 points
At least one but less than three years (of past 10 years)	5 points

4. Overseas work Experience -  Also for the overseas Skilled workers willing to apply for Australia PR must have atleast 2 years of work experience.

At least eight and up to 10 years (of past 10 years)	15 points
At least five but less than eight years (of past 10 years)	10 points
At least three but less than five years (of past 10 years)	5 points

5. Education Qualification - For applying Australia Pr visa you must have done your graduaction.

Qualification	Points Awarded
Doctorate from an Australian educational institution or other recognized standard	20 points
At least a Bachelor degree, including a Bachelor degree with Honours or Masters, from an Australian recognized Standards	15 points
Diploma completed in Australia, trade qualification completed in Australia, or qualification or award of recognize standard	10 point

6. Other Factors: There are other factors too by which you can score extra Points

Factor	Points Awarded
Credentialed community language qualifications	5 points
Study in regional Australia or metropolitan area (excluding distance education)	5 points
Professional Year completion, for a period of at least 12 months in the four year	5 points

7. Partner Skill Requirements -  The Australian immigration department also introduced new partner skill points in the recent update help on November 2019. The points are allocated as listed below:

Your Spouse or de facto partner must also be an applicant for this visa and meet age, English and skill criteria. Age should be under 45 years. Competent English. Nominated skill assessment that is on same skilled occupation list as yours nominated skill assessment. Nominated a Suitable skilled occupation and obtained a positive skill assessment.	10 points
Your Spouse or de facto partner achieved the below criteria: Your partner has competent English, and Your partner must be an applicant of same subclass as yours, and Your partner is not an Australian permanent residency or Australian citizen.	5 points
You are single (do not have spouse or de facto partner) or your partner is an Australian permanent resident or Australian Citizen.	10 points
