General Skilled Migration Program
On Thursday, August 25, 2022, the General Skilled Migration (GSM) program will open to more than 500 occupations in an effort to help solve the critical skills shortages in South Australia. Beginning on Thursday, August 25, 2022, all details and requirements for South Australian nomination will be posted on the migration.sa.gov.au website.
Offshore applicants
To hasten their admission into the South Australian labour market, the state of South Australia will boost the number of offshore skilled migrants it nominates. To do this, South Australia will choose overseas candidates from among those who have submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) via the Department of Home Affairs' Skill Select database to apply for state nomination. During this program year, offshore applicants won't need to submit a Registration of Interest (RoI). Please make sure that all the information in your Skill Select EOI is up to date and that you have chosen South Australia as your first desired State or Territory to move to in Australia since South Australia will be nominating offshore applicants from over 470 occupations.

- Permanent Residents
Processing times will be posted here on a regular basis, and South Australian residents with Subclass 485 visas that are about to expire may make an online inquiry to seek priority processing.
Business Innovation and Investment Program
The Australian Government has given South Australia a small number of nomination slots for the Business Innovation and Investment Program (BIIP).
The conditions for South Australia's BIIP nomination for the 2022–2023 program year are being finalized by Skilled & Business Migration, and information on the start of the 2022–2023 program will shortly be available on Aptech Visa’s website.
